Ricky, a Papuri Music Ministry member, is a professional songwriter who has been in the industry of making music for almost 30 years. He is the penman of a popular gospel song “Jesus, Aking Musika.” He is the owner of a religious music record label, Messiah Productions. Ricky has been joining ASOP since its second year.

Bicolano Jason Fernandez was first known to OPM enthusiasts when he became a Rivermaya vocalist. This “uragon” was immediately loved by the audience with his powerful voice combined with his good looks and charming personality which are undeniably true. He left Rivermaya and formed his own band Sta. Maria which is his mother’s maiden name.
Recently, Jason played the read role “Isagani” of an El Filibusterismo stage play.
Jek Gerald Manuel rose to fame with his ‘90s band IAxe. His is the voice behind the equally popular love song “Ako’y sa ‘Yo; Ika’y Akin.” Sometime in 2011, he joined a new band named Deep Projek. Presently, he is the frontman of Jek Manuel and the Stronghold.
He got married recently to a dermatologist.

“In any songwriting contest, it is not a matter of being a pro or an amateur. It is all about the quality of the song entry,” introduces composer Ricardo Sanchez.
The composer applied tips and pieces of advice from ASOP judges such as expressing a cliche in a few different ways.
This song entry is quite competitive because of its lyrics and genre.
