Marlon is a teacher by profession. He is actually a Computer Science graduate but went into teaching music instead. This year is his second time to be a grand finalist. For him, joining and watching ASOP is like attending a songwriting school for free. And he says “In ASOP there is always a chance.”
Marlon comes from a family of music lovers that hails from Los Baños, Laguna (Philippines) . He shares that he thinks he got his talent in music from his father who is more musically inclined than his mother, Erlinda, another ASOP composer.
Shanne is known in her hometown Balanga City, Bataan (Philippines) as a talented singer and actress at Balanga UTown Film. Aside from singing, she is also into modeling given her beauty and grace. Although as a child she used to imitate singers with big names, her supporters believe that she can be a big name herself in the near future given her singing prowess.
Shanne is one of the hosts of UNTV’s youth-oriented, student-friendly Sunday morning program, Klasrum.
Hangga’t may hininga
‘Di magsasawang pasalamatan Ka
Sa bawat araw may umagang kay sigla
Nadarama’y umaapaw na pagsinta
Sa gitna man ng pagdurusa
Sa gitna man ng kasawian
Hangga’t may himig ang musika
Magpapatuloy ang puso kong awitan Ka
Oh Ama
Oh Ama
The realization of how good and great GOD is came to composer Marlon Nabia when his song entry made it through the Producer’s Pick monthly episode, and onwards to the grand finals.
A product of avidly following and applying the ASOP judges’ comments and advice in songwriting is “Sa Bawat Araw” which was originally entitled “Aking Dios.” Yes, it did not prevail the first time, but in ASOP, there always is a chance.
“Whatever happens, I will still be writing praise songs. It is quite addictive, really!” confessed the songwriter.
Truly, every day welcomes a morning that will make us feel blessed. The first thing to do is say a little prayer, or even sing a praise song to thank the Almighty for such a blessing.
