Sana Iyong dinggin ang panalangin ko
Sana ay mapatawad Mo ang kamalian ko
Buong puso at kaluluwa ako’y nangangako
Salamat at Ika’y aking gabay
Panginoon, samahan Mo akong nagkamali
Walang hanggang Ika’y paglilingkuran
Panginoon, samahan Mo akong nagkamali
Panginoon, samahan Mo akong nagkamali
At first, composer Arniel Villagonza was in disbelief that his guided-by-the-Holy-Spirit song composition passed the preliminary screening, and that his song entry made it to the weekly finals.
And the journey of “Tanging Gabay” began.
“I was overwhelmed when the announcement was made. With the prize I won, my wife and I will be able to buy milk for our child, and he can continue with the doctors’ treatments,” shares Arniel.
A heart of a father to a child with disability is speaking in the song.
But more than any person’s love is the love of the Almighty Father for us, his children. And in spite of our shortcomings, the Father is always present to straighten our ways, and embrace us amidst storms.
