12th Monthly Winner (AUGUST)
Pakamamahalin Din Kita
Composer: Dennis Avenido
I
Magmula nang makilala Ka
Ako’y nakadama ng pagmamahal
Pagmamahal na walang katulad
Na nagbigay pag-asa sa’king buhay
PRE-CHORUS
Ang pag-ibig Mo hindi ko akalaing
Sa isang katulad ko ay ipapakita Mo
CHORUS
CODA
Pakamamahalin din Kita, Oh Dios Ama
The unexpected message came right in the middle of a seminar, causing Dennis to squeal in excitement before he could stop himself. He read the text again. His song was selected for ASOP’s Producer’s Pick episode.
It’s the second chance that Science teacher/songwriter Dennis Avenido was hoping for but never really expected.
This proves how powerful his song is. As one student attested,”Sir Dennis, nung pakinggan ko ‘young kanta mo, napaiyak ako. Hindi ko alam kung bakit,” after listening to his teacher’s song composition.”
(Sir Dennis,I cried after listening to your song; I don’t know why.”)
Now, composing praise music is on top of his list. (Writing praise songs has become a priority. It helps in reminding my fellow teachers and my students that the most important being to dedicate a song to is God.”)
“I have the faith that it’s a God-given talent so dapat continuous ‘yon,” added Dennis. (I have faith that it’s a God-given talent, so I should continue writing praise songs.)
Through all this, he remains humble. (Don’t give the credit to me for my songs. Always remember, it’s God’s work. I can’t claim the credit.)
