The opportunity to be an interpreter on A Song of Praise (ASOP) Music Festival Year 6 is a blessing for The Voice Season 2 runner-up Alisah Bonaobra.
Her interpretation helped South Cotabato-based Richard Samulde’s song entry, ‘Kanlungan Ko’, win the ‘Song of the Week’ title.
“Sobrang blessed po kasi, unang-una po, ‘yung sa pagkanta ko po, feeling ko po talagang ginabayan po ako ni God para mairaos ‘yung kanta na ‘yun,” Bonaobra said.
(I feel really blessed because, firstly, during my interpretation, I felt that God really guided me in interpreting the song.)
The song’s message resonated with Bonaobra which contributed to her soulful interpretation.
“So, first time kong kakantahin and related sa buhay ko. Sobrang feel na feel ko ‘yung song.”
(So, it was my first time to sing the song and it’s related to my life. I really felt the song.)
The panel of judges included Jimmy Antiporda, Jacqui Magno and Mon ‘Doktor Musiko’ del Rosario.
