Rookie composer Jay Llamera of Batangas beat more experienced competitors with his song, “Salamat Sa’Yo,” when it bagged the Song of the Week title.
As the title suggests, Llamera’s song is about expressing one’s gratitude for God’s overwhelming love.
Other entries were “Sayo’y Alay ang Papuri” by four-time ASOP contender Antonio Rodeo and “May Dakilang Lumikha,” by brother and sister tandem Boeni Ben and Daisy Jean Aroy respectively.

Gracing the show as guest judges were powerful songstress Dessa and hitmaker Jungee Marcelo, whose works include Gary V’s Hataw Na and Daniel Padilla’s ““Nasa Yo Na Ang Lahat.”
